One. Wraps for two meals every weekday.
Breakfast wraps are super easy to make ahead of and can fill with whatever your hearts (and tastebuds) desire! Inspiration struck after finding this recipe.
I am obsessing over a wrap for lunch. It includes a tortilla (the raw kind you have to heat), a little bit of mayo, turkey (or chicken deli meat), and leafy lettuce with pepperoncini peppers. YUM!
Two. Peanut butter with apples.
Here’s a secret of mine: I only tried peanut butter with apples this year. For 25 years of my life, I only had peanut butter with bananas. I found that the best peanut butter for fruit or anything (for that matter) is the kind with the least amount of ingredients.
Three. Extended time alone.
I spent Thanksgiving to mid-way through January with lots of family and friends. I got tired and extremely peopled-out that I needed to limit my contact with people. I used this time to reflect and dig into what year I wanted. This time was full of recharge and clarity.
Four. Perfecting routines.
I say nothing is more relaxing than having a routine in the morning and evening. Your day starts and ends the same every day. I am a person who does not thrive on randomness; I appreciate a routine. My morning routine includes immediately drinking ten gulps of water, brushing my teeth, and rinsing my face. My evening routine includes packing my lunchbox, picking my outfit for the next day, and reading before lights out.
Five. Running.
If you said to me five years ago that I would want to run, I would’ve thought you had me confused with someone else. After Christmas and throughout January, I intentionally went to the gym and worked on running. I went to the gym for at least 30 minutes and pushed myself to keep up with a running plan I found on Pinterest. I enjoyed seeing my progress go from one minute to five minutes! I can’t wait to see what more progress I will make with running.
Six. Fifty-Degree Weather Days.
There’s something about a fifty-degree weather day in January. One person crossing the street is still in a parka, while the next person wears shorts with a hoodie.
One thing I didn’t enjoy in January: Ice. Everywhere.
