September ’24 List of Loves

September started slowly and ended with a BANG! My life changed instantly and I am grateful for modern medical technology. Although I went through something so unexpected, I still found things to love in September.

One. Crispy morning walks. Down the road from where I live is a small coffee place. In the summer I wanted to wake up early on a weekend and stroll down, and pick up a treat. However, I never strolled to the coffee shop until a crispy fall morning in September. This walk was so much fun! It was still early so hardly anyone was on the roads; I could hear myself and the birds thinking. The drink was fine, however, the atmosphere was worth the effort.

Two. Ambiance YouTube. I love the fall jazz ambiance YouTube videos on a chilly evening. When the wind is howling and evening walks are unpleasant, I love curling up with a book on my couch, under the glow of lamps (never the big light), and listening to jazz softly playing in the background. Ambiance YouTube gets me relaxed after a long day at work. I highly recommend the ambiance videos that include rain sounds, too.

Three. Journaling. I may have previously stated this as a love already. It goes to show that I truly love journaling. Journaling is a way to write down fun memories or to get something off the mind. If something bothers me, I will journal it so that I can process the situation. I enjoy writing down things without restrictions or edits. It is a way to ramble without boring anyone.

What brought you joy in September?

Danielle.
