2025 Intentions

Welcome to 2025! I hope the first thirteen days are treating you well. After reflecting on 2024, I realized that sharing some of my intentions for the year really held me accountable because I did not want to admit to the world that I fell short. So in continuity, below are five intentions I have for 2025.

One. Read the Bible. Last year with more intent than I ever have before. I learned so much about God and myself. I enjoyed reading a passage each day and reflecting on what I read and how it applies to today’s world.

Two. Save $70/week. Last year, I loved saving a set amount each week. Somehow, this helps my spending streak not rear its ugly head. I get a dopamine rush when I move money around each week.

Three. Read 48 books. Last year, my intention was to read 27 books. I knocked that intention out of the water so this year, I am really going to put my reading to the test and read 48. I am already three books down.

Four. No social media for three months. Currently, I am in the first month without social media. I will admit, I have some regrets about staying off social media during baseball’s offseason. I am quite bored. This has caused me to find other ways to entertain myself such as watching shows and movies I previously put off.

Five. Try six hobbies. I will admit that I don’t have hobbies. There isn’t an art task I like doing. I don’t have the creativity (nor patience) for artistic activities. This year, I want to stretch my comfort zone into trying hobbies I normally would not try.

What are your intentions for 2025?

Danielle.
