The first thing I do when I get the exciting news is first jump up from sitting. That is the very first thing I do. Then, I pace because now I have a ton of energy that needs to get out. While pacing, I thank God. I start praising God for whatever fantastic news I receive. Sometime after jumping, pacing, and praising, I might spread the exciting news. I start with my sister, my partner, and then my parents.

My sister is my biggest cheerleader and I am hers. It is delightful to have someone in your corner unconditionally; someone who understands your excitement and wants to add to your joy instead of taking it away.

Sometimes, I will not tell anyone the news I feel I want to have a secret for myself. Sometimes, it is fun to have great news to share with only myself. I can bask in the moment; and take it all in without having people hounding me for more information.
